Getting started

AAI in ten minutes

A quick introduction to the complete AAI accessibility assurance journey.

What AAI does

AAI helps organisations manage accessibility as an ongoing process rather than a one-off scan.

The platform connects page discovery, automated scanning, manual testing, developer remediation, retesting and reporting so that evidence remains connected from the first test to the final outcome.

The basic journey

  • Create or join an organisation workspace.
  • Add and verify the website domain you are authorised to manage.
  • Discover pages and choose the pages that matter.
  • Run an automated accessibility scan.
  • Review automated test failures and supporting evidence.
  • Perform manual accessibility testing where human judgement is required.
  • Create Developer Actions for problems that need remediation.
  • Fix and retest the affected pages.
  • Generate reports and maintain an evidence history.

The most important principle

Automated scanning is valuable, but it cannot prove that a website is fully accessible. AAI therefore combines automation with structured human testing, remediation and retesting.

Important

A successful automated scan should never be interpreted as proof of complete WCAG conformance.
