When Secure Scan Access is needed
Public pages can usually be reached directly by the scanner. Protected portals, account areas, staging environments and authenticated applications may require an approved access profile.
Supported access patterns
- Username and password workflows.
- HTTP Basic Authentication.
- Session-state based access.
- Bearer tokens.
- Custom login workflows where configured.
- Local or private scanning approaches where available.
Security
Only provide credentials specifically authorised for accessibility testing and limit their permissions to what the scanner genuinely needs.
Important
Do not reuse highly privileged production administrator credentials for routine accessibility scanning.
